BASECAMP’s star is quickly rising. The Nashville trio has had a solid year, one that’s been anchored by timely releases (like their cover of Ace of Bass' "All That She Wants" or their official remix of Sia’s “Chandeliers”), and high-profile gigs on the road (like opening for CHVRCHES). They’re gearing up to release the follow-up to last year’s self-titled EP, and with it comes their first new material in almost a year.

“Shudder” is further proof of the continual evolution of BASECAMP, whose versatility gives them mass appeal. On their new track, Aaron Miller’s vocals hit hard, channeling a hybrid of James Blake and John Legend. The production is mid-tempo, but has an up-tempo swing, channeling those house/garage-type vibes, while still maintaining a warm R&B feel.

This new track will not be featured on their upcoming yet-unnamed EP. Nonetheless, it’s still available for free stream and download via Soundcloud.

Check it out, after the jump ...
