Happy Friday, punkins. Fans of smart electro-pop are likely already aware that New York's Phantogram will play Marathon Music Works on Wednesday, July 2. Here's my Critic's Pick for the show, wherein I refer to the 'Gram's latest release, Voices, as "a record that demonstrates more than ever the duo’s flair for meshing kinetic, EDM-like rhythms with the substance and musicianship of ’80s and ’90s trip-hop and shoegaze acts." Bad Things will open, and tickets for that one are available right here for $20. But you know what time it is. It's time for another one of the Cream's good old-fashioned caption contests.
See the image up there? Come up with the most gut-busting caption imaginable and post it down below in our comments section. Be sure to include your email address in the appropriate field — we won't publish it, but we'll need it in order to contact our winner. Around noon on Wednesday (day of show) we'll pick our favorite caption, and said caption's author will win one pair of tickets (well, technically, a list spot with a +1). Sound good? Everybody ready to do it? OK, go!
Update: We have our winner. Thanks for playing!
