Last month, local dude Cody Newman and his outfit Codaphonic released a pair of EPs, Mindwrecker and Oh Radio!, which — according to me — featured "glossy production, clean vocal harmonies, dexterous playing" and "memorable songwriting." Amid the double-dose of new 'Phonic material was the titular Oh Radio! tune, which I like to think is about the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon as it pertains to radio — you know, that thing of where you're thinking about a thing and then a song about that thing comes on the radio. Anyway. I could be completely wrong about that.
Speculation aside, Codaphonic has a brand-new video for "Oh Radio!," and it was directed by Newman himself, with a bit of art direction from local creative type Elizabeth Williams. Watch the stop-motion-heavy clip above. "I'm pretty psyched about what we were able to do with a $30 budget," Newman tells the Cream. "Seizure!"
