Big news for fans of jungle- and/or geisha-themed top-tier mega-pop: Onetime Nashville frequenter and current John Mayer fraternizer Katy Perry has just announced a 46-city tour in support of October's Prism. The third stop on Perry's tour will be Nashville's own Bridgestone Arena, and that goes down June 27. Capital Cities will appear in support (though onetime Scene covergirl Kacey Musgraves will open a big chunk of dates in the middle of the tour cycle).
The last time Perry played Nashville (in 2011), it was with Janelle Monae and something called Skeet Skeet. The time before that (in 2009), she played the significantly smaller (like, 95 percent smaller) Cannery Ballroom. Full ticket info for the upcoming tour isn't available just yet, but here are some details from a press release:
