Wooden Indian Burial Ground w/Gunther Doug and Megajoos Tonight at The Stone Fox

The above video features clips from Alejandro Jodorowsky's Holy Mountain, and is thus NSFW.

Is there anybody physically in Portland, Ore., these days? We would assume that somebody is holding down the fort, but it sure seems like the entire population is on tour at all times. A cursory glance at the music listings in any city across the country will inform you that every club has at least 80 Portland bands on every bill. Not that we’re complaining! The Portland kids do good work, and if they keep sending us outfits like Wooden Indian Burial Ground, we’re not going to complain.

WIBG makes stellar surf-influenced beats of the over-fuzzed, sweat-drenched, reverb-soaked variety. This is psych rock for ass-shaking and lovemaking, and party tunes for people who like to party weird. You know, our kind of people. Local shred-happy indie outfit Gunther Doug and the fuzz-punk freakshow Megajoos open the festivities.

Tonight's show starts at 9 p.m. and costs $5.
