Miley Cyrus to Play Bridgestone Arena April 18

Posted By on Wed, Nov 6, 2013 at 11:02 AM

The memories of the 2013 VMAs are finally beginning to fade. The myriad think pieces are mercifully disappearing in the rear view mirror. Miley's appearance as host of Saturday Night Live — though it had its moments — is now in the past. No more terrible Halloween costumes. No more kinda brilliant Halloween costumes. Perhaps we can all finally move on. Perhaps we can finally step into a post-#TwerkGate America. Perhaps we can finally stop talking about Miley Cyrus for about 15 minutes.

Wrong! Tour announcement!

As Cyrus promised while standing next to a dignity-moderately-intact Edward Norton, she will soon be launching a tour in support of last month's Bangerz. The Bangerz Tour will feature 38 stops across North America (plus more TBA). Despite my colleague Adam Gold's educated postulating (i.e., wild guess) to the contrary, the tour will in fact hit Music City. On April 18, Miley's coterie of ecstasy bears will hit Nashville's own Bridgestone Arena. Tickets for the Music City stop go on sale to the general public Saturday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m. via Live Nation. There's also this:

American Express® Card Members can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Tuesday, November 12 at 10 AM local time through Friday, November 15 at 10 PM local time. Fans will have additional opportunities to purchase tickets early by signing up for a Facebook RSVP.

LOL, JK. Seriously though, do you think the tour stop will feature an in-the-buff Hannah Montana swinging on a prop wrecking ball? More tongue-wagging ass-centrism? There's plenty of time for the 20-year-old (she hits 21 later this month) to reinvent herself again before the tour kicks off on Valentine's Day. How subversive would it be if she started dressing conservatively and returned to covering Melanie Safka and Dolly Parton songs?

The above performances were filmed just a year-and-a-half ago. They grow up so fast, don't they?
