Inimitable and prolific home-recording guru R. Stevie Moore released the 32-track Games and Groceries back in June of 1978 — it's an album that leads with a track called "Games" and closes with another one called "Puttin' up the Groceries." (Here's a video of Moore playing "Puttin' up the Groceries" in a cemetery about six years ago.) Well, it may have taken Mr. Moore 35 years (give or take), but he's got a brand-new video for the art-punky, power-poppy ode to domestic life, and you can watch that above. The vid, which was cut together by CosMod, primarily features found footage that relates in one way or another to groceries. Dig in. Games and Groceries is available for purchase via Moore's Bandcamp page.
Moore's next gig is set for Sunday, Oct. 20, at The High Watt, where he'll support Mike Donovan of Sic Alps.
