It's Hump Day, and we should celebrate with some new baby-making beats from local remixing madman Amerigo Gazaway. Last we heard from Gazaway, he was getting ill on that Otis Redding-Big Boi tip, and the time before that, well, the knucklehead lawyers at Sony were getting all up in his grill for making the undoubtedly dope Bizarre Tribe: A Quest to the Pharcyde. But a little thing like legalese ain't gonna slow down this dude's groove or scare off the Soul from dropping buttery nuggets of re-fixed funk on the world.

This time out Gazaway digs into Chromeo — the Kings of French-Canadian Smooth — taking their new-school classics "Hot Mess" and "Tenderoni" and injecting some classic funk. Needless to say, it's all sorts of awesome and has been on repeat at Fort Maloney all morning. I mean, who can argue with the dream combo of Bozz Scaggs and Latin Soul legend/ordinary guy Joe Bataan? Who doesn't love little "Low Rider" mixed in with their Marvin Gaye and drizzled with vocoder? It's all you're gonna need to get you through the work week.
