Weekend Round-Up: Showdown Style

Posted By on Fri, Jul 19, 2013 at 7:30 AM

By now, you've of course read about my colleague Adam Gold's Twitter beef with noted local gasbag John Rich. Man. I couldn't have come up with a better birthday present for the Cream if I'd tried!

So yes. There are more things to do this weekend than just attending our Sounds Like Summer/Cream Seventh Anniversary party at Mercy Lounge, Cannery Ballroom and The High Watt. Drift on after the jump if you want to see what those things are. As for our soiree, tonight you're looking at: The Features, Morning Teleportation, Hotpipes and Black Sea Royalty at Cannery; Those Darlins, Turbo Fruits, Promised Land Sound and Bully at Mercy Lounge; and Plastic Visions, Buffalo Rodeo, SCHOOLS and Fair-Weather Kings at The High Watt. Tomorrow you've got: The Weeks, The Whigs, The Kingston Springs and Sol Cat at Cannery Ballroom; How I Became the Bomb, Tristen, Kyle Andrews and Gavin Shea in Mercy Lounge; and Bad Cop, Clear Plastic Masks, Majestico and The Dead Towns in The High Watt. Follow me after the jump to see everything else, which was compiled by intern Harrison King and music listings editor Adam "The Champ" Gold. Let us know what we missed, and have yourselves a ballin' weekend.
