Bummer news for moms and fans of mainstream jazz and trad-pop: Harry Connick Jr.'s performance tonight at The Woods at Fontanel has been canceled due to safety concerns. From a release:
Due to a technical issue with the stage, in an abundance of caution, sadly tonight’s Harry Connick Jr. show at Fontanel has been cancelled. Refunds will be available at the point of purchase — tickets purchased via ticketmaster.com will be automatically refunded. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause fans and patrons. Harry Connick Jr. stated: “I love being on tour, so I’m very sad I won’t be able to perform for my fans in Nashville tonight, but safety always come first.”
The issue will be repaired by tomorrow’s Last Summer On Earth show with Barenaked Ladies & Ben Folds Five.
Thank God. Anyway, I tried to find that SNL skit from 1999 wherein Jimmy Fallon plays Connick while Keenan Thompson annoys him with a laser pointer, but it doesn't appear to exist anywhere online.
