This week's free Nashville Dancin' concert at Riverfront Park — scheduled to feature performances from Mishka, Pat McLaughlin, Kansas Bible Company, TAR (Trapp, Abbott and Rhodes) and The Oak Creek Band — has been canceled due to expected flooding. Water will be released from several dams, resulting in a likely water-level rise in the Cumberland. From an official release:

Due to recent steady rain and plans to release water from the dams at Wolf Creek, Dale Hollow, Center Hill and J. Percy Priest, the water level on the Cumberland River at Riverfront Park is expected to rise on Thursday to a level above the lower deck, preventing any safe use of this area. The Army Corps of Engineers has advised that the area will be under water throughout the day and night on Thursday, July 11.

Nashville Dancin' intends to return on July 18 with performances from Mike Farris and the Roseland Revue, The Kingston Springs, Sol Cat and Roots of a Rebellion.
