If you're a fan of grunge pioneers Mudhoney, then you're probably already aware that the forever-alt Seattleites released their ninth studio album, Vanishing Point, earlier this month via Sub Pop. You may also know that they've announced their summer tour dates, which will take them from Boston to Prague to Atlanta and everywhere in between. So if you already know all of that action, then maybe this ain't news to you: Mudhoney will play Jack White's Third Man Records in Nashville on Sept. 26, where they'll be joined by local garage punks Cheap Time. Especially exciting is the fact that TMR commits all Blue Room shows to tape, and so a live Mudhoney LP might just be in the cards.
The Third Man folks tell us that a ticket link won't be up until a little closer to the date, but we'll update this post when that info becomes available. For now, watch Iggy-channeling 'Honey frontman Mark Arm singing about liking it small in the video above, and hear another track from Vanishing Point after the jump.
