Anybody have tickets to old E.J.'s Bridgestone shindig this evening? The Spin will be there, so if you can't scrounge up the scratch to attend, at least you have a write-up coming your way courtesy of your free local alt-weekly.

But Elton isn't the only performer hoping to wow Music City this weekend. Tonight, in addition to the Bridgestone show, you're looking at: Eliot Lipp at SEEN; Dr. Lonnie Smith at Payne Chapel; Ponychase with Photo Ops at The Basement; Fly Golden Eagle with Chrome Pony and more of the Blacktooth Records gang at Mercy Lounge; East Nashville Underground's lineup announcement at The Stone Fox with El El (the phoenix rising from the ashes of Heypenny); TerryFest with Tom Pappas, Hurts to Laugh and more at Mad Donna's; Jacob Jones and Alanna Royale at The 5 Spot; and plenty more. Tomorrow you've got: Richard Thompson at 3rd & Lindsley; Walking Man with All Them Witches and more at The Basement; Tristen with Torres and Forget Cassettes at Mercy Lounge; Hollow Ox's release at The Stone Fox; and plenty more. Have a look at the rest — compiled by music listings editor Adam "Rocket Man" Gold — after the jump. Let us know what we missed, and have yourselves a crocodile-rockin' weekend.
