Well, you can't be an indie-rock new-media darling without a slobbering endorsement from NPR. And voila! Not long after their appearance on Fallon, Nashville's own Winston Yellen-fronted indie-folk (or "country-rock," if you want to go with writer Robin Hilton's genre tag) outfit, Night Beds, performed a handful of tunes for the Tiny Desk Concerts series. Look above to see Yellen & Co. play "Faithful Heights," "Ramona" and "22" from this month's Dead Oceans-released debut Country Sleep, as well as an "older song [Night Beds] haven't really played much yet" by the name of "Hide From It."
"It's hard to imagine it sounding any better," says NPR's Hilton. And there's your ringing endorsement.
