Music The Independent Streams Caitlin Rose's The Stand-In

Ten days ago we posted an all-too-brief teaser clip for Caitlin Rose’s forthcoming sophomore full-length The Stand-In. Now you can hear the whole damn thing, which is streaming exclusively over at The Independent.

On first listen, the record is a lively, timelessly toned country-rock kick in the broken heart. Since barroom ballads should be heard in barrooms, rousing road rockers should be heard on the open road and songs about Dallas should be heard by folks in Texas — where I’m not 100 percent sure whether or not they have the Internet (I kid) — be sure to snatch up a physical copy of the record when it drops March 5 via ATO.
