After watching Rihanna's performance at the Grammys on Sunday night (revisit that after the jump), I discovered friends, associates, strangers and basically the entire Twitterverse asking who in the hell that fella swappin' notes with the Barbadian chanteuse was. As we've mentioned time and time again, that's Nashvillian performer Mikky Ekko, and he co-wrote "Stay" for Rihanna's latest album, Unapologetic.
Well, on the heels of that much-tweeted-about performance comes Rihanna's official video for "Stay," which you can see above. The sultry video features a disrobed Rihanna bringing sexy back — not as in "sexy was gone and now it's back," but rather "Rihanna has a sexy back" — as well as a fully clothed Ekko. Intimate glimpses of skin, Ekko looking pensive, a deluxe washroom, and exactly zero rubber duckies. Adult stuff, my friends. Twitter and Rihanna's site say that "Stay" is currently the No. 1 iTunes single ... hasn't popped up on the chart I'm looking at yet, but I'll continue to hit "refresh." Anyhow, get an eyeful above.
