Fun. and Tegan and Sara To Play The Woods at Fontanel Sept. 22

Good news for local Fun. fans who slept on buying tickets to the band's totally sold-out Ryman gig this weekend: Fresh on the heels of last night's wins for Best New Artist and Song of the Year — for the ubiquitous hit "We Are Young" — the anthem-prone art-rock trio has announced they'll return to Music City on Sept. 22, appearing at the doubly spacious Woods Amphitheater at Fontanel (or FUNtanel, as the press release puts it).

To insure a thoroughly fun night of feel-good pop and kick-ass haircuts, Fun. has tapped Canadian sister act Tegan and Sara — riding high on the release of their synth-pop crossover juggernaut Heartthrob— to open. Tickets go on sale this Saturday at noon (literally hours before Fun. takes the Ryman stage) right here. Fees included, they're $51 apiece.
