If there’s anything of which the Bible Belt needs an occasionally heavy dose, it’s a set of politically charged, fast and furious old-school SoCal hardcore punk. As announced today via Facebook and confirmed on the venue’s official website, hardcore vets Bad Religion — whose latest, True North, is set to drop on Jan. 22 (and will possibly the only listenable release on their Epitaph imprint since the last Bad Religion record) — are making a stop at Nashville's War Memorial Auditorium on March 20.
BR will be joined by Southern-bred politi-punks Against Me! Fronted by the newly transgendered Laura Jane Grace and featuring MTSU golden boy, former Kill Devil Hills bassist and former manager of the recently deceased Red Rose Cafe, Andrew Seward, on bass, the band will no doubt be dropping some timely, topical and aptly themed cuts from their new concept album Transgender Dysphoria Blues. Polar Bear Club will open the show.
Tickets go on sale here this Friday, Jan. 18, at 10 a.m.
