* And speaking of Pitchfork shedding some light on relative Nashville newcomers, they also recently featured Night Beds' song "Ramona." Night Beds is the project of Winston Yellen, whose "Even If We Try" was also featured on the 'Fork a few months back, and it meshes a folk-songwriter sort of approach with a dreamy pop delivery. Yellen and his Beds have already been featured on Spin and American Songwriter and all sorts of places, so dip in a little bit over on the NB site.
* And speaking of Night Beds, they were featured this morning in the second hour of NPR's On Point, along with scores of other artists who look promising in 2013. NPR Music correspondent shouted out a little bit to her colleague, Scene contributor Jewly Hight, and nodded to The Band Perry, Ashley Monroe, Gary Allan and more, while eMusic editor-in-chief J. Edward Keyes included Night Beds in his list of artists to watch in the coming year.
