Bear in the Campsite Performs 'Native Son' for the Cherry Box Sessions [Fresh Vid]

Posted By on Wed, Jan 9, 2013 at 7:40 AM

Back in August, local at-times-jammy, at-times-power-poppy indie-rock outfit Bear in the Campsite issued their debut release, Memory Place, and you can stream the eight-song collection below or purchase it via BITC's Bandcamp page. They also recently recorded an in-studio performance series at Cherry Box Studios that they're calling Cherry Box Sessions, natch. Watch the first installment — a performance of their tune "Native Son" — above. It drifts from a post-punky, shimmering and mellow verse into a '90s-cribbing sort of alt-rock chorus, and then on into an extended jam sequence. Bear in the Campsite will play alongside The Crumbs, Hello Walls and The Inscape at FooBar on Feb. 1 (FB event page), if you'd like to see them do their thing in the flesh.
