Who needs something a little lighthearted to balance out all the heavy shit on the Internet today? Who needs a nice, non-sequitur-spitting goofball to brighten up their day? We all do, I'm guessing. So in light of what's looking to be a humdinger of a national tragedy, why don't we delay the inevitable social and political arguments we're going to have to have and just watch Spoken Nerd rap about shirts — shirts with stripes. It seems like an appropriate way of dealing with things, right? A positive, pro-love message with Nerd's half-rapped, half-sung delivery, sunny demeanor and irreverent sense of humor seems like the way to lead this week.
OK, time for more partying, and let's all hope that's the end of the bullshit for today.
* Hey, how 'bout some nice, chill, ambient hip-hop from Quiet Entertainer? That sounds like a mellow way to finish out the work week. Let's go with it.
* Man, this new Dee Goodz track with New York's The Kickdrums has a really stoney, indie-psych-rock vibe. Let's add it to the afternoon playlist.
* This is just ridiculous. Wick-It drops an all-hip-hop Christmas mix on Monday. I have a serious feeling it'll rule something proper. And I'm out! Have a safe weekend everybody.
