Rick Ross, Meek Mill and Wale To Play Bridgestone Arena Dec. 9

Posted By on Tue, Nov 6, 2012 at 4:14 PM

Fall 2012 looks to be the Season of Hip-Hop in Nashville. We had Aesop Rock at Exit/In, Nas at With Your Friends Fest, J. Cole and Childish Gambino at Vandy's Commodore Quake, Kendrick Lamar this past weekend at War Memorial, Wiz Khalifa coming up Nov. 25 at Bridgestone Arena and Yelawolf slated for Nov. 16 at Cannery Ballroom. Tack onto your hip-hop iCal (iHop?) this latest addition: William Leonard Roberts II (aka the Teflon Don, aka Rick Ross) will play your friendly neighborhood enormo-dome, Bridgestone Arena, on Dec. 9. He'll be joined by Meek Mill and Wale, both of whom are signees to Ross' Maybach Music Group imprint. The bill will also include "special guest" Machine Gun Kelly and host DJ Scream.

Not familiar with the non-"Freeway" Rick Ross? Have a look at his video for "Hold Me Back" above, and see excerpts from Rolling Stone's August cover story on the Don. (Spoilers: He smokes "green caviar," he used to be a corrections officer, and he's opposed to gun control.) Tickets for Ross' Dec. 9 appearance are available here.
