Hey EDM-heads: Who among you is up for a massive case of deja vu? As depicted in the above clip, Lorin Ashton — the breakbeat/drum 'n' bass/dubstep performer known to his fans as Bassnectar — played Bridgestone Arena last New Year's Eve. The venue opened up its lower bowl to 9,673 geeked-out dance-music fans for one of the biggest electronic events of the year. According to contributor Sean L. Maloney, that wasn't a bad thing. And according to a press release just received by the Scene, it's going down again for NYE 2013.
Not only will Bassnectar return to Bridgestone on Dec. 31, 2012 — he'll be doing it in the center of the arena on a stage that "rotates an astonishing 360 degrees, giving thousands of fans the opportunity to get a great view." Pre-sale tickets will be available through the Bassnectar fan club at 9 a.m. Central on Oct. 17, with the rest going on sale at 10 a.m. Central on Friday, Oct. 19. Tickets will be available here, and you can download Bassnectar's Freestyle mixtape right here.
