If Facebook is to be believed, local electronic experimentalist Frank Baugh of Sparkling Wide Pressure will have a busy, Betty's-ful weekend. The Book says SWP will perform Friday night at Betty's with Kevin Greenspon, Sugar Sk*-*lls, Bevo Francis and Geoffrey Sexton, and Saturday night at Betty's with No Pomo, Terror'ish and SAURuS. I even wrote a pick on the No Pomo show. As we mentioned back in August, Sparkling Wide's cassette Covered in Blue Colors will be out this month via Watery Starve. You can already hear a lot of the prolific Mr. Baugh's work over on his Bandcamp page.
Oh, right. The point of this post. Lynn Fister of the aforementioned Watery Starve put together a video for Sparkling Wide Pressure's "Turquoise" using footage from Stuart Paton's 1916 adaptation of Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. (Leagues, since you asked, is available for free public use under Creative Commons license.) Have a look at the video above.
