Whatevs Marathon Man vs. Eddy A. Ward: Mascot Showdown?

Well guess what. There's a new mascot in town, and unlike the saying goes, he was indeed born yesterday. Marathon Man — no relation to Dustin Hoffman, it seems — is the new Spandex-clad mascot for local mid-size venue Marathon Music Works. According to Marathon Man's Facebook page, MM is the "mascot/ambassador of Marathon Music Works," and he likes to "party and give out free tickets to shows." He also claims that he won the "Nashville Scene Best of the Best: Tan Fanny Pack" award, which I'm fairly certain isn't a thing ... unless I missed something when I nodded off at one of our weekly edit meetings.
Anyway, I call for a battle! A duel! A showdown! Or at least, I'd like the two of them to interact in one way or another. Marathon Man has a Twitter account, but apparently Eddy A. Ward deleted his. Eddy? Are you still out there? Do you accept a challenge? Since the whole point of mascots is to attract publicity, I really feel like we can bring Eddy back from whatever dismal fate he met so long as we clap loud enough — a Tinkerbell scenario, if you will.
