Nashville rock 'n' rollers The Kingston Springs have been getting some serious mileage under their collective belt over the past few months. The Springs — or 50 percent of the Springs, to be precise — recently sat down at a pier in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, to perform a cover of Hank and Audrey Williams' classic duet "Dear Brother." Jeff Gentner directed the performance video, and you can see that above. It features a banjo and ... hmmm. Well, I wanted to say ukulele, but the thing's got six strings, so I suppose it's just a mini guitar?
Now that The Kingston Springs have done a tune in the desert and another one on a Brooklyn pier, what's next? Covering Jimmie Rodgers from the slopes of a dormant Hawaiian volcano? Or perhaps while ice fishing in Alaska?
