Local falsetto-fancying, neo-synth-pop-tronica club-packers-on-the-the-rise Cherub posted a video for their track “Doses and Mimosas” today. The clip (above) provides a fairly literal, set-in-Big Apple, metro-chic depiction of the song — which, true to its title, is about droppin’ doses, drinkin’ mimosas, combining champagne and cocaine, hatin’ on haters, stuff like that.
Basically, if Barry Gibb, Andre 3000 and, I don’t know, Hot Chip formed a supergroup, it would sound like this song — which appears on the band’s debut LP Mom & Dad. Take that either as an endorsement or a disclaimer, depending on how you roll (or don’t roll).
