Just as I anticipated, I've got full-on Olympic Fever right about now. From the mounting sexual tension between Dan Hicks and Rowdy Gaines to Bela Karolyi's amazing commentary, I simply can't get enough.

But for those of us who don't intend to barricade ourselves in our homes and watch America (and China, whatevs) dominate in London, there are some pretty solid options for musical entertainment this weekend. Tonight you've got Quichenight's album release at The End, The Bunnies and Snakehips at Exit, Ponychase, Echo Group and Deloreans at The Basement, Diarrhea Planet with The Weeks and more at Mercy, Hank 3's Happy Tales benefit at Marathon, Majestico at 12th and P, the Family Tree event with The Devious Angels at The 5 Spot and much more. Tomorrow night you're looking at Poly's release show with Cortney Tidwell and Natalie Prass at The Zombie Shop, the Readymade Films launch at The Basement, Black 13 Tattoo's anniversary at Mercy, Big Waves of Pretty and Stephen Molyneux at Noa Noa and more. Have a look at the rest — compiled by Adam "Keri Strug" Gold — after the jump. Let us know what we missed, and have yourselves a Perfect 10 of a weekend.
