* In a recent interview with Pitchfork, music supervisor Randall Poster (who's collaborated with Martin Scorsese, Wes Anderson and countless others) mentions that he's currently working on Harmony Korine's forthcoming feature, Spring Breakers. He also says this: "Skrillex is doing original music for us." James Franco? Selena Gomez? Skrillex? God bless you, Harmony, you magnificent weirdo.
* So add Marie Claire to the stack of national publications currently crushing on Music City. While it certainly isn't as deluxe as the recent GQ spread, MC just ran a feature on the country's "best travel destinations." And hey, there's a bit on Nashville, complete with a lede that includes the phrase, surprise, "more than honky-tonk." Even though honky-tonk Robert's is name-dropped. Anyway, Grimey's, The Station Inn, Third Man Records and Hatch Show Print are mentioned in there as well.
* Oh hey, NME reports that Charlatans frontman Tim Burgess recently recorded a solo record here in Nashville with Mark Nevers, and that the album will feature contributions from Music City all-stars including R. Stevie Moore, Lambchop's Kurt Wagner, Chris Scruggs and more. The album, titled Oh No I Love You, will be out Sept. 24.
* And finally, American Songwriter shot another one of their Bonnaroo mini-docs while they were down in Manchester, Tenn., this year. The thing's called "When the Dealing's Done," and it features interviews from members of Wild Cub, PUJOL, Flogging Molly, Black Lips, Dawes and more. See it after the jump.
