Even though summer doesn't technically start until Wednesday, June 20, I personally let my body tell me when the sunniest season commences. And according to my bod, summer is upon us. Also, summer — as rock 'n' roll fans all know — is touring season, and as we saw yesterday, touring season is looking mighty promising around these parts.

But what about this weekend? Not too shabby, it seems. Tonight you've got Cory Branan at The Basement, Reid Magette's album release at The Zombie Shop, the Jefferson Street Jazz and Blues Fest on the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge, The Long Players doing Armed Forces at Mercy, Gospel Music with Bows and Arrows and Mom and Dad at The End and more. Tomorrow you're looking at the second day of the Jefferson Street fest at the Bicentennial Capitol Mall, Chris Crofton with Faux Ferocious at The Basement, Trabajo with Stephen Molyneux and Hobbledeions at Brick Factory, Idina Menzel at The Woods, Umbrella Tree at The 5 Spot and more. Have a look at the rest — compiled by Adam "Summer Gurls" Gold — after the jump. Let us know what we missed, and have yourselves a bright weekend
