Bonnaroo / Moving Pictures Wild Cub's 'Wild Light' and By Lightning!'s 'Red' [Bonnaroo-Bound Fresh Vids]

What do Nashville-based outfits Wild Cub and By Lightning! have in common? Well, a few things, actually. They both won their respective Road to Bonnaroo installments at Mercy Lounge (Fly Golden Eagle won the third) and will thus be playing slots at the 'Roo this weekend. They also both have brand-new videos. Allow me to explain.
* Wild Cub is the synth-poppy project of local performers Keegan DeWitt and Jeremy Bullock. Their debut LP, Youth, will be released by Big Light Recordings on Aug. 14, and you can see the video for their tune "Wild Light" above. It features some synchronized dancing from DeWitt and a couple of babely lasses, and the footage looks like something I would have pilfered from amid my sister's VHS cassette collection circa 1991. It was directed by locals Will Holland and Ryan Kendrick.
* Something tells me Wild Cub's fellow 'Roo-bound popsters By Lightning! get restless if they go more than a week without creating something. They just debuted their video for the tune "Fancy Free," and already they're serving up another offering of stop-motion feelgoodery. See their video for "Red" after the jump. They also have new T-shirts, by the way.
All three Road to Bonnaroo champs will perform this weekend at The Great Taste Lounge: Wild Cub will perform at 2:40 p.m. on Saturday. Fly Golden Eagle will perform at noon on Sunday. By Lighting! will perform at 2:40 p.m. on Sunday.
