"Lovers." Normally, that word bums me out unless it's in between the words "meat" and "pizza." Yes, I stole that joke. Anyway, no reason to be bummed here, as aesthetically sundry local outfit The Kingston Springs have an aesthetically pleasing live-performance vid for their tune "Lover." Directed by Jeff Gentner in Tuscon's Saguaro National Park, the "Lover" video was clearly shot during what they call "Golden Hour" — that magical sliver of time that is painted with God's own paintbrush. A time of day so beautiful that it can make even an acoustic bass look cool. Well, almost.
You know, my best friend and I once had a spiritual encounter with a pronghorn antelope in the Arizona desert. Drugs may or may not have been involved. But that's a story for another time. Enjoy "Lover" above. It's groovy.
