Weekend Round-Up: Mothers (of Invention) Day Style

Posted By on Fri, May 11, 2012 at 7:45 AM

Well, we've done "Mother's Day Style" before, so music listings editor Adam Gold suggested we get a little more, how should we say, abstruse with it. Voila. We're only in it for the money, after all.

As far as this weekend goes, however, it's looking pretty damn strong. Tonight you've got Heavy Cream's release show and crawfish boil at The Zombie Shop, Andrew Combs' 7-inch release at The Basement, Cherub at Mercy Lounge, Honey Locust's EP release at The High Watt, Lucero at Cannery and more. Tomorrow you're looking at Lambchop at the VFW, Bonnie Raitt's sold-out show at The Ryman, Natural Child with Birdcloud, Richie and King Karl at The Zombie Shop, Dave Cloud and more at The End, My So-Called Band at Mercy and plenty more. Have a look at the rest — compiled by Adam "Flower Punk" Gold — after the jump. Let us know what we missed, and have yourselves a far-out weekend.
