Bad Cop's 'Gloom Bank' [Fresh Vid]

Posted by on Wed, May 9, 2012 at 3:14 PM

Remember late last year when local garage-punk outfit and GG Allin labelmates (yes, seriously) Bad Cop released a media package they called their "Six-Pack"? It featured a three-song EP by the name of I Can't Slow Down (not to be confused with Lionel Richie's, Foreigner's or Saves the Day's Can't Slow Downs), plus three music videos. Well, first BC's controversial vid for "Maniac" rolled around the bend, and then the video for "Animal" debuted via Impose Magazine. But what of the mysterious third vid? Unless you downloaded the "Six-Pack," you you may have never seen it.

Until now! Looks like some sneaky so-and-so who didn't want to live in an Internet devoid of fresh Bad Cop vids has taken matters into his or her own hands and posted the video for "Gloom Bank." The vid was directed by Cream contributor Seth Graves, and it's a nocturnal sleaze-fest of sexy glances, booze, flaming fruit, drugs, face paint, smoke and earthworms. As for the tune itself, it's a riffin', mid-tempo, stripper-pole sort of blues-punk number that reminds me just a little bit of another riffin', mid-tempo, stripper-pole blues-punk song by a different group of Nashville-residing rock 'n' rollers. Appropriately filthy.

Anyway, if you still don't have the "Six-Pack," you can get the whole thing for free right here. Dig it.
