Update: This show is now a private event. The legendary Wanda Jackson should need no introduction around these parts — but here's an introduction if you need one. She did her last record in Nashville with a guy named Jack White, too.
And the Queen of Rock herself is headed our way once more, this time to pay a visit to the Southern Girls Rock and Roll Camp on its penultimate night, to play what will undoubtedly be an unforgettable show for some lucky young rockers, at the Wright Music Building on the MTSU campus.
Incidentally, the Southern Girls Rock and Roll Camp is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year, and they're looking to raise some funds to make sure they can keep on rockin' in the (Mur)free(sboro) world. Give all the money to them!
The Wanda Jackson performance will be 12:45 p.m. on
Friday, July 27,
will cost $15 generally, and $10 for parents of rock campers and will be a private showcase for rock campers. The camp's finale showcase will be the following night.
