* We both previewed and reviewed Epic Ditch's 36-Hour EP release show. And for good reason; who doesn't like OG, shout-along, hardcore punk? But according to Ditch frontman John Davis — who you might also recognize as the main dude from '90s power-pop institutions Superdrag — there were a couple of tunes that didn't make it onto the EP. One of those tunes is called "Negative Increase," and you can stream all minute-and-50 of it below or download it for free via Epic Ditch's Soundcloud page. Negative increase! Negative increase!
* You guys familiar with local rock outfit and wrestling enthusiasts The Church of Cleanliness? Sure you are. Contributor Edd Hurt told you all about them back in December. Well, C of C member Matt Glassmeyer has a solo project called Meadownoise, and he's offering up a download of his five-song EP, It's 4:00, for free. Meadownoise is a bit less aggressive and a bit more thoughtful than Church of Cleanliness, like if Wayne Coyne took a weekend to make an extremely chilled-out EP with Grandaddy's Jason Lytle. Stream it below, and download the whole thing at Meadownoise's Bandcamp page. "Little William" is my jam, by the way. Hat-tip to We Own This Town for hipping us. WOTT, we love and respect you, and we promise to get you an invite to this year's Best of Nashville party.
