So far set to appear in Chi-Town's Union Park July 13-15 are Vampire Weekend, Feist, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Hot Chip, AraabMUZIK, A$AP Rocky, The Field, Liturgy, Kendrick Lamar, Grimes, Cloud Nothings, Tim Hecker and Willis Earl Beal. Whether that arsenal of artists excites or disappoints you, fear not, as — unlike how Bonnaroo rolls out its lineups — Pitchfork Festival has historically held off on announcing its heritage-indie, top-o'-bill headliners at the outset. I'm predicting Archers of Loaf might end up making the bill. And if that ends up being the case, then I'm fuckin' there. And hey, maybe the event will feature a Nashville act this year. JEFF the Brotherhood perhaps? Paging Lambchop?
If you plan on joining the Pitchfork party this year, know that single-day tickets are an ever-reasonable $45 and three-day passes are an evermore-reasonable $110. They go on sale next Friday, March 9, on the festival's official site. And click here to revisit the Cream's comprehensive and near-comprehensible coverage of last year's P4k festivities.
