Cream Calendar Daniel Johnston! Live! Free! At Lipscomb! Tomorrow! For Real!

Daniel Johnston is a hard man to keep up with. He's got a solo show that opens tomorrow at Lipscomb (Joe wrote a pick about it in this week's paper), and his website erroneously listed a concert at Third Man that caused some confusion on a Country Life post yesterday. [Editor's note: Blame the idiot editor.]

But cheer up, guys! Lipscomb's fixed everything right up.

At 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10 — tomorrow night — Johnston will perform a set at Lipscomb's Collins Auditorium, backed by a few Lipscomb students (Zac Swann, Michael Do and Mack Hoskins) who are going to have cooler stories than everyone else they graduate with. The good news: Tickets are free, and the auditorium's capacity is 900, so the show's not in danger of being sold out. The bad news? No drinking, drugs or premarital sex. It's Lipscomb, folks. That's a hell of a toss-up, but I'm willing to make the sacrifice.
