Brandon Jazz's Promo Vid, Courtney Jaye's Performance Vid, Alabama Shakes on Conan [Vidsy Bits]

* Attention-craving, glitter-encrusted glam monkey Brandon Jazz and his Armed Forces will open for electro duo Cherub at their Mercy Lounge album release show on Feb. 11, and Jazz prepared the above promo video to spread the news. You see, Jazz and the Forces will also be releasing the Ambitious EP, and that's apparently enough excuse to exploit a couple of kids. I'm kidding of course, the kids appear to be perfectly comfortable. Keep a lookout for a feature on Cherub's new record in this week's forthcoming dead-tree edish.

* When I was digging up that Wanda vid earlier, I stumbled across another Digital Bohemia-shot performance vid: It's of local songstress Courtney Jaye playing her heartstring-tuggy onion ballad "Wonder of Your World." See that one after the jump or via Vimeo.

* Am I burying the biggest bit, here? Perhaps I am, but as much as we'd like to claim them as Nashvillians — after recording here, playing multiple stellar shows here and releasing a Third Man single — The Alabama Shakes just aren't Nashvillians. Frownie face. Still, to hell with it. I'mma post this. The Shakes played Conan last night. See them doing their hit "Hold On" after the jump, and visit the Team Coco site to see their web-only performance of "I Ain't the Same." Hat-tip to TwentyFourBit for the linkies.

On first look, thought the headline said "Brandon Jazz's Porno Vid." Whew.
