The politically charged Nashville/Knoxville throwback hardcore troupe featuring John Davis (Superdrag), Nick Slack (Slack), Stewart Pack (One-Nine Hundreds, Pegclimber) and “Producer to the Stars” Nick Raskulinecz recently cut the five-song EP in a 36-hour session (hence the name) over at Blackbird Studios. It drops in black-and-white, split-colored 45 form Jan. 31 on Velocity of Sound. But you can feast your ears on its auditory contents over at the band’s Bandcamp site.

The band will play a post-release EP release show with Hurts to Laugh on Feb. 4 at The Basement, in addition to making a Jan. 28 appearance over at The 5 Spot with The Vibes, who are back to punking up Nashville after 14 years of dormancy. Am I burying the lede here?
Update: The Jan. 28 show at The 5 Spot has been canceled.

John Davis without melody is like Eddie Van Halen without a guitar. Well done but what's the point. John, if you write some melodies you can expect me to care.
If you're looking for melody, check out "Unexploded Ordnance" from that EP. Its closer to what you're used to from him.
