Little Hamilton Will 'Most Likely' Close Its Doors in May

It is with great sadness that I dust off the Little Alexander Hamilton chestnut.

Well, an apparent bummer to close out our week: Word comes to us via Little Hamilton honcho Molly Meinbresse that performance/art space Little Hamilton will likely be closing up shop come May. Says Meinbresse:

we are most likely going to close our doors in may, but we'll still be hosting events until then. it's hard to run an event space and store front with only volunteers and not eventually get burnt out or go broke. the building is not in the best shape, we don't have heat/air, rent can be hard to find and volunteers turn over so fast we can't keep up sometimes. little hamilton has brought alot to the nashville community with its DIY ethics, radical politics and opening its doors to lots of folks who wouldn't feel comfortable or be welcome other places. however, the realities of paying rent, volunteers with full-time jobs and passions for other projects is starting to catch up with us.

there are some folks who are looking into a relocation, but no confirmation yet. and if that did happen, it would be a new/separate entity with a fresh start. know of any spots that are cheap, fairly clean and have central air?

So? Anyone know of a spot that could take Little Hammy's place? Meinbresse also adds, "We are still hosting shows so don't forget about us!" Like tomorrow night's show featuring lady-fronted shoegaze outfit Procession, plus Dirty Dreams, How Cozy! and Quietly, for instance.
