* Even if you haven't been in yet, I'll bet you've heard some buzz about low-key hang and primo karaoke spot Santa's Pub. Named for its proprietor, Santa (natch), the pub is featured in the above short from Brian Hallett. But now that you know the whole free-beer-for-cashless-first-timers policy, don't go abusing it. Santa knows if you've been bad or good. So be good, for goodness' sake.
* Joshua Black Wilkins is probably best known for his photography — the Nashville-based shutterbug has shot the likes of Steve Earle, Justin Townes Earle, The Black Keys, Bobby Bare Jr., Jessica Lea Mayfield and plenty more. Well, he also makes tunes. Tunes of a decidedly dusty, Springsteenian, Americana ilk, with perhaps just a splash of Tom Waits in the mix. His new video for "Church on the Hill" premiered via American Songwriter last week, and you can see it after the jump.
* Remember those li'l fellers, Dogs of Oz? The high school-age punk band whose Grimey's in-store/EP release show I told you about last week? Well, there's some footage of their positively U.K.-inspired punk rock performance up on the 'Tube (here, here, here), and you can see them doing "Trash Market Murder" after the jump. Keep your eyes on these kids. I dig it.
