Cream Calendar Andrew Bird to Play The Ryman March 19

Well, on any other day, perhaps I'd opine a bit more on the brainy warble of the virtuosic Andrew Bird, but today, this newspaper ain't going to put itself out (Unless ... No, no. My self-producing newspaper isn't ready for the masses yet. It needs more time!). So we'll keep it basic. Bird will bring his violin, looping pedal and brainy warble to the Mother Church on Monday, March 19, and tickets go on sale for $35 this Friday, Dec. 9, via The Ryman's website and Ticketmaster. Here's a thought: You know local post-rock songstress Cortney Tidwell has toured Europe with Mr. Bird, right? Think there's any chance Tidwell — or her outfit KORT — will appear in support? Just a wild guess. But that'd be a hell of a bill.
