Caitlin Rose Does Daytrotter … Again; and So Does Andrew Combs

Posted by Adam Gold on Thu, Dec 1, 2011 at 3:29 PM

Local-gone-international fave Caitlin Rose — who got a pretty nifty profile on CMT[dot]com this week — has recently recorded a second Daytrotter Session. (She made her Daytrotter debut back in May of last year.)

The sophomore sesh was posted today. It features Rose and current backing band The Greasy Fellas banging out a quartet of songs including “Shanghai Cigarettes,” “For the Rabbits,” a cover of The Coasters' “Young Blood” and “I Was Cruel,” a newer jam. Wanna hear the whole ench’? Then follow this link.

In loosely related news, Nashvile-by-way-of-Tejas troubadour Andrew Combs — for whom Greasy Fella Spencer Cullum, Jr. also sometimes moonlights as pedal steel player — recently recorded a Daytrotter Session of his own. It was posted last week. Check it out.

And in belated Cato news, Rose filmed a rooftop performance and interview for Brooklyn’s Duke Street Blog a few months back. Peep it below.

it also makes Jeremy Fetzer look like a detective and Spencer Cullum Jr. look like a sleepy king of pajamas in a land of dreams!
