Moving Pictures Matt Moody, 'Ain't No Way' [Fresh Vid]

Probably one of my favorite things to happen in the past month was Mercedes-Benz's use of Matt Moody's tune "Name Your Heart" in a very sexually charged commercial. You'll recall that the longtime Nashvillian — known as a member of Hands Down Eugene, A Country Gentleman, By Lightning! and more — is gearing up for the release of his his El Baile de los Muertos on Dec. 10. Part of that gear-up includes a brand-new, Amy Hobbs-directed video for the tune "Ain't No Way" — a psych-rock gem with a mildly "Taxman"-esque, bobbing bass line and plenty of crunchy guitars. The video features the art of Moody's wife Mandy Peitz-Moody (who designed the Muertos album cover), plus the Moodys being generally sweet together. A little beam of sunshine on your otherwise gloomy Tuesday. Enjoy.
