Well, The 5 Spot's Monday night Keep on Movin' dance parties — now roughly three years old, and pretty widely accepted as the best hipster meat market in town — are certainly no longer any secret. But for folks who want to avoid blown-up spots, the East Side or old-timey bros in suspenders who look like they should be tipping their barkeeps with silver dollars — not that there's anything wrong with that — it looks like there's a new option for Monday night, dance-friendly rock 'n' roll soirees. Beginning tonight, The End and vinyl enthusiast Pimpdaddysupreme will be hosting a weekly event known as the Manic Monday Bottomless Cup Beer Bash. From 7 until 10 p.m., The End will be serving up all-you-can-drink draft PBRs for $10, and there will be some strong tunes to follow. There's a Facebook event page and info on The End's site, and here's a little taste:

This new residency is Pimpdaddysupreme's return to parties. He'll be mixing almost solely from 12" vinyl singles on actual turntables.

(*GASP* - NO LAPTOP)

He'll be mixing up a select blend of:

70's electro disco/funk/rock/punk
80's new wave/electro-hop/goth/dance pop/r&b/italo
90's new jack/hi nrg/acid house
00-11 electro/indie dance/b-more/mashups

Hope to see you on the dancefloor!

The drink special is not valid during the show itself — and the cover for that is $5. For those of you not planning to check out the Euro-centric sounds of New Mexican Zach Condon and his Beirut at Cannery Ballroom — for which contributor Lance Conzett penned a fine preview — I think this sounds like a solid option. Says local booker/End dude Jesse Baker, Manic Monday "is every Monday (with the exception of a couple in December, but who cares?)."
