I admittedly don't know shit about the Twilight franchise — except that "Bella Swan" sounds to me like the most phoned-in character name ever, and that, according to a friend of mine, the book version of the forthcoming installment features (spoiler alert?) someone chewing a vampire baby out of someone's womb. Hey, that's just what I heard. Vampire babies and sex with werewolves aside, hometown champs and Scene/Cream faves The Features will be featured on the forthcoming soundtrack for Twilight: Breaking Dawn. (For reference, The Features are not the first Nashvillians to be featured on a Twilight soundtrack, and it's not the first time their tunes have made it into a major motion picture, either.)
As The Features' Matt Pelham and Mark Bond — well, Bond mostly appears to be there for moral support — point out in the above interview, the tune "From Now On" was taken from the Wilderness sessions, but was not featured on the album proper. (We loved Wilderness, as you'll recall.) Mr. Pelham seems cautiously grateful, saying things like, "Seems cool" and "We're just ... sorta ... dudes. And we're older" when asked about his feelings on making the Dawn OST. Still, good for them. The Features have also announced some upcoming tour dates, which you can see — along with the trailer for Breaking Dawn — after the jump. "The fetus is incompatible with your body," says Some Guy. Right on.
