According to
a tweet and
a Facebook status update from The Civil Wars, the newly beloved folk darlings won't be able to make their scheduled appearance tonight at Cannery Ballroom for the Americana Music Festival's kickoff. Fifty percent of their lineup — and that would be the John Paul White half — is apparently feeling ill. According to the Wars' Facebook page, "the band will still be performing Thursday evening at the Americana Honors & Awards Show at the Ryman." The folks of Mercy Lounge/Cannery posted
this refund information:
You have the option of obtaining a refund for your tickets or receiving a free upgrade for a wristband for the entire Americana Music Conference (a $50 value). This wristband gains you admission to all venues (The Mercy Lounge, Cannery Ballroom, The Basement, The Rutledge, & The Station Inn) for the entire 4 day festival.
If you would like to receive the free upgrade, simply bring your ticket confirmation to the Cannery Ballroom tonight to receive your wristband. If you would like to receive a refund instead, please call Ticketweb at 866-777-8932 and have you order number ready.
I'd take the wristband, personally. But that's your call.
