My Morning Jacket to Play Vanderbilt's Commodore Quake Oct. 20, Tickets on Sale Tomorrow

Posted by on Mon, Sep 19, 2011 at 11:37 AM

Good news for fans of arena-sized riffs, Jim James' otherworldly, falsetto-ensconced melisma, fuzzy boots, gigantic eyeballs and other trippy visuals: Louisville's monsters of Southern psych rock, My Morning Jacket, will play Memorial Gymnasium on Vanderbilt University's campus as part of this fall's Commodore Quake. The Quake goes down Oct. 20, and you can see more details here.

Tickets, which go on sale via Ticketmaster tomorrow, Sept. 20, at 10 a.m., will cost $15 for Vandy students, $30 for general admission and $40 for spots on the floor. And in case you were wondering, capacity at the Memorial Gym appears to be right around 14K.
