Knockin' Boots: Nashville Tested, Country Approved Seeks Kickstarter Donations

All right, I'm going to run through the background on this one pretty quickly. You may know sometime local (and sometime New York-dwelling) personality Ben Pearson as the frontman from Party Cannon, or better yet, you may know him as M.C. Woodgrain. And you may know local director Jeff Wyatt Wilson for things like music videos. Well, the two are collaborating to make a documentary — "mockumentary" feels more appropriate, really — on the Pearson-portrayed Little Benny, a tormented country songwriter and performer who returns to his native Music City for a shot at redemption. The above trailer features cameos from other locals you may recognize, among them Loney Hutchins of Cleft Music Studios and Cory Younts of Old Crow Medicine Show.

Pearson has started a Kickstarter campaign to raise the necessary funds for the completion of Knockin' Boots — they're seeking $25,000 — and per usual, there are certain rewards for pledging. If you pledge at least $100, Pearson will "prank call anyone you want, film it, and give you a copy for you to have forever." That's gotta be worth at least a C-note. Time runs up in 29 days, and bro has about 24-large to go.
